In late 2010, C3 Applications was approached by a local property management organization wishing to combat the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid(HWA), which had been destroying their trees. TreeTreater was then developed with the same powerful, web-based and easy-to-use tracking system as ICSolution. This affordable software allows treatment records to be readily available to outside experts for analysis purposes.

This application may be run on a local workstation without Internet connection, making portability a viable option for users to take the software with them into the field for on-site data entry & research. All access to the software is controlled by username and password authentication, providing security for collected information.

TreeTreater was created with mapping in mind. Each tree that has been found to be affected, may then be mapped using Depiction (an easy to use mapping application) via a shared mail file from within the application. This ability to visually track treatment progress will allows the organization to track the results graphically to assist in determining the success of your treatment.

The Capabilities:

The TreeTreaterTM application provides an individual tracking record for each of the designated trees and shrubs. The main record captures the following information on a specific tree:

  • Tree tag number
    • Tree Location
    • Latitude
    • Longitude
    • Street Address
    • Lot Location
  • Initial Tree Diameter (drop down customizable by administrator)
  • Initial Density Scale (drop down customizable by administrator)
  • Current Status (drop down customizable by administrator)
  • Risk Factor (drop down customizable by administrator)
  • Initial Record Input Date
  • Date of Last Treatment
  • Number of Days Between treatments
The treatment record captures the following information:
  • Date
  • Status of Tree at Time of Application
  • Type of Treatment
  • Chemical(s) (drop down customizable by administrator)
  • Chemical Quantity (drop down customizable by administrator)
  • Treatment Method

The treatment record becomes a child document of the main record, so as treatment records are added they roll up underneath the main record allowing one document to show all actions being taken on a particular tree.
